About ROM
ROM Transportation Engineering Ltd. is a leading international transportation planning and consulting firm, based in Israel and operating worldwide. Founded in 1997, our firm specializes in consulting the public sector on all aspects of transportation at both an urban and national scale, as well as providing integrative mobility and accessibility solutions for large metropolitan areas.
In recent years, ROM has led a variety of large-scale transportation consulting projects in Africa, Asia, and Eastern Europe. Many of these projects were financed by the World Bank, EBRD, AfDB, and other large financing agencies. Our projects require professional proficiency and managerial capabilities in line with the highest international standards.
We have developed over 15 project-specific Travel Demand Models for policy and development evaluation using advanced GIS based software packages. We stand at the cutting edge of transportation surveys and complementary data collection activities by integrating new technologies such as tablet PCs and GPS trackers to create high quality databases. We also provide technical and managerial services to the Israel Ministry of Transport, the Israel Ministry of Interior and Finance, and to municipal governments of Israel's largest cities.
Our excellence is based on the professional and managerial abilities of our staff. ROM’s senior consultants have occupied some of the highest positions in the transportation sector in Israel and are personally involved in every one of our projects, from the earliest stages of inception, through implementation, up to the final presentation of our work.
Our Team
Moshe has over 35 years of professional experience in policy making and urban transport strategy preparation and implementation. He served as the chief transportation and traffic engineer for the Israel Ministry of Transportation (1986-1989) and the as Israel National Transportation Commissioner (1989-1993). In recent years, he managed several transportation planning projects in Israel and internationally. Moshe holds several engineering degrees, including a Doctorate of Science in Civil Engineering from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology.
Bryan is a transportation planner and modeler at ROM. He has worked on projects in Israel, Zambia, Vietnam and Romania, and specializes in building and maintaining travel demand models for the company's clients. Bryan also has experience in survey execution, data analysis, GIS based analysis and scenario building. Bryan has a dual bachelor's degree in Geography and Politics and a master's degree in Geography with a specialization in Urban Planning. He has had a pivotal role in the company's core projects since 2015.
Daniel is a transportation and urban planner as well as ROM's GIS expert. He has a master's degree in geography with a specialization in urban planning, and a dual bachelor's degree in geography and political science with a specialization in geoinformatics. Daniel has been with us since the beginning of 2017 and has worked on projects in Uganda, Lithuania, Ethiopia and Israel managing complex strategic transportation plans, transportation surveys, conducting QA, and utilizing his experience for optimizing GIS procedures for spatial and transportation analysis.
Rachel is ROM's senior project manager and quality control expert. Rachel monitors and supervises all the traffic surveys and data collection conducted by ROM in the various assignments and verifies the integrity and the quality of the collected data. Over her tenure at the company, Rachel has led transportation surveys from China to Africa, along the way pioneering advanced and cutting edge methodologies that have become the industry norm.
Zvi is an industrial and management engineer specializing in the development and use of transportation models. He also specializes in control, analysis and processing of survey and transportation data.
Zvi has been with ROM since 2016 and has worked as a control manager for the travel habits survey in the Tel Aviv metropolitan area, control, analysis and processing of parking surveys in Kaunas and Addis Ababa, and model development for Bucharest and Lusaka.
After receiving his first degree in his native France, Jeremie came to Israel to complete his MBA at the Interdisciplinary College in Herzliya. Jeremie's expertise in the world of international development, contract tendering, finance and relationship management make him an essential element of project cultivation and management.
Eran has been a part of the ROM Team since February 2020. He holds a B.A. in Geography and Sociology from Tel Aviv University. He is passionate about the connections between his dual major and understanding the relationships between societies and transportation. At ROM, Eran has worked on projects in Kyrgyzstan and Israel. He has experience in project management, PT network planning and managing field surveys. Eran's love of maps and geography doesn't stop with PT planning, he is also skilled at orienteering, frequently competing in national competitions.
Miriam is a Transportation and Urban Planner. She has a Master’s degree in Urban Planning from the Hebrew University, and a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations with a focus on Diplomacy and Law from the University of Oregon. Miriam specializes in public engagement, gender issues, and sustainability. While at ROM, Miriam has worked on projects planning BRT, bus, light rail, parking, and NMT networks in Israel, Romania, Ghana, Kyrgyzstan, and Macedonia.
Amit Klier
Transport Planner

Amit Klier joined the ROM Team in April 2020. He has gained his master’s degree in Urban Planning from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem and works as a transportation planner since 2015. He also has a PhD in physics from The Weizmann Institute of Science and took part in the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) experiment and other international collaborations at CERN in Geneva, Switzerland and at the University of California in Riverside, in the USA. At ROM, Amit has worked on projects in Israel, involving sophisticated analysis methods and innovative approaches. He has developed skills in strategic planning and sustainable transport (electric buses).
Yael joined the ROM team in July 2019. Originally from London, Yael has gained her master’s degree in Urban Planning from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology and a bachelor’s degree in Geography from the University of Manchester. At ROM, Yael has worked on projects across Israel. She has developed skills in PT network planning, sustainable and non-motorized transport as well as geospatial and data analysis.
Praise Faith
Regional Operations Analyst
Praise Faith has been an integral member of the ROM team in Uganda since 2012. With extensive experience in survey management and quality assurance, Faith develops close relationships with clients and stakeholders. In addition to her native Uganda, Praise has contributed to projects in Zambia, Ethiopia and Ghana conducting transport surveys and other data collection activities.
Deepak joined ROM in 2022 and holds a BBA and Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) focused on HR and Marketing from Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak, India. Deepak has impeccable understanding of the development consulting marketplace with over a decade of experience in implementation of business plans, and navigation of firms' business across Africa, Asia, Europe and the Pacific Regions. As ROM's Business Development Manager, he is results-driven with a proven track record of creating and implementing successful business development strategies, forging strong partnerships, identifying new business opportunities, contract and tendering, team management, and developing innovative solutions that meet the needs of our clients.
